About Black Lab Studio..."Black Lab Studio is a modern paper and home goods studio based in Kansas City. All pieces are designed by myself, owner Stephanie Given. I started this company back in 2013 as an outlet for creativity that I couldn't let out at my 9-5 job during the day. I like to keep things modern and bold while adding a dash of humor where I can - whether it be through a quirky greeting card or custom wedding suite. I start all designs in my sketchbook using a variety of mediums, however pen and pencil is normally my go to. I then finish up designs in Illustrator to make things bright and filled with a whole lotta color. When I'm not designing, I'm normally stuffing my face with cheese dip, doting on my two pups or watching really awful reality tv."
